Landscape Part 2 (Final)
Medium: Photography & Photoshop

Project Statement
When I moved from one of my previous homes that held the most precious memories for me, I never really came back to see what it looked like after so many years. So for the final project I decided to revisit my old neighborhood, and Landscape Photography. I spent my Elementary school years up until sophomore year of High school. Luckily I could walk to my Elementary school because it was just beyond a fenced gate in my neighborhood.
During my visits, there were already so many changes that caught my eye. Two older buildings that were designated for 3rd graders and where they held computer class (remember those?) It was all gone and all that remained was a big open field and a smaller playground. I wanted to capture where these buildings used to be like they were still there right in front of me. There was also a Church next to my neighborhood. I never really went to church when I wasn't forced to, this was the only area that didn't change. My motive for this Project was to figure out how I could convey an emotion of nostalgia in a photo. Is it possible to evoke this emotion to a stranger who has no connection to the artists past, or knows about the area the artist is capturing?
