The inspiration for this project was to do a floating island landscape, and I wanted to re-create the floating island called "The Lookout" from the anime "Dragon Ball Z". I used 3D shaping to get these very specific shapes like the roundness of three buildings, the little orbs that sit on top of them, the windows, the archways leading to the two side buildings and in front of the main building. I also had fun using the Pathfinder tool to get the right shapes and create compound shapes like the palm trees, and the envelope distort tool to get the arches for the grass and designs on the island.
